How To Dash in Ink Game
Unlike pushing and sprinting, players aren’t automatically given the ability to dash, and must instead unlock it following one of two ways:
- Upgrades [Faster Speed]
- Upgrades cost Won to unlock, which you accumulate after playing the Ink Games, regardless of whether you win or lose.
- At Faster Speed Level 5, you’ll unlock the Dash ability. Before then, all Faster Speed upgrades will increase your base speed when walking and sprinting.
- Powers [Phantom Step]
- Powers require spins, earned through the daily reward scheme or by winning Ink Game. The Phantom Step Power has a 2.9% roll chance, placing it in the Legendary category.
- This Power allows the player 2 quick dashes, which lunges them in the direction they’re facing when they activate this skill.
When To Utilise Dashing
Dashing allows the player to sprint ahead of others, making it great in a few games that require speed and stealth, such as Lights Out, Hide and Seek, and Rebel.
During Lights Out, Dashing helps close in on unsuspecting players, allowing you to strike them with a bottle. Similarly, it also helps escape other players if you’re cornered.
Hide and Seek calls for two teams, one hiding and one seeking to kill. Regardless of which team you fall on, Dashing will help you get a kill or escape an untimely demise.
As for Rebel, this gun fight gets hairy at times, and moving aside to heal up is necessary so you don’t perish. Having the ability to Dash will help you escape an untimely demise just before the end.
