If you’ve watched Squid Game, you’ll know all about the Jump Rope. Ink Game has finally added its own Ink Game Jump Rope game, and arguably, it’s one of the hardest. I’ll talk you through what you have to do and how you can win.
Participate in the games and beat Ink Game on Roblox. If you’re struggling with the other rounds, check out our Ink Game Mingle guide and our Ink Game Tug of War guide.
Ink Game Jump Rope
The Jump Rope minigame will happen after either Hide and Seek or Tug of War. The one you get will depend on what your server voted for. Don’t worry, though, as the Glass Bridge is still available. Many people wonder if Jump Rope replaced it, but you’ll still get the Glass Bridge (then either Mingle or Rebellion)… if you make it that far.
Update: Developers have said on the Discord that this game will be reworked soon. Hopefully, it becomes easier!
How To Play Jump Rope
Following the show, you will enter a room with two large dolls holding a jumping rope across a bridge. One by one, you need to walk on the bridge and jump as the rope swings down. If you mis-time the jump or get hit by the rope, you will be thrown off the edge and land in the pit below, eliminating you from the game.
However, it’s not as easy as this. In the middle of the bridge is a gap, requiring you to jump longer so you don’t fall through.
Arguably, the hardest part of this game is that once you jump, your character will start to sway. A bar will appear on the screen with a triangle in the middle. This triangle will slide across the bar, and you need to press either A or D to make sure it stays in the middle of the bar. If you don’t, you lose your balance and will fall off the edge.
Tips To Win
If you’re like me, you were wiped out within seconds of playing. Even now, I still find it tough! I’ve put together some tips and tricks for you to keep in mind.
- Don’t Go First
- I suggest watching for a few seconds to familiarise yourself with the timing of the jumps and how the rope swings. Hold back and watch before trying.
- PC vs Touchscreen
- Having played this game on both my PC and on a touchscreen device, I found it easier to play on PC with a keyboard. Based on friends I’ve spoken to, they agree that it’s easier.
- Practice
- Most people don’t get it the first time, so practice really does make perfect. You can join a private server for free in Ink Game so you can practice without all the eyes watching you.
- Keep in mind you won’t get any rewards for completing the game on a private server.
