Type Soul Hell Layers Guide – Reaching The Highway
First, you need to find the Highway entrance. This area resides in Karakura town, to the right of the Basketball Court against the back wall of the city.
In front of this striking, large door with two protruding skeletons, you’ll see an NPC. For him to open the doors and grant you access to The Highway, you need to have first unlocked your Voltstandig/Bankai/Full Resurrection.
With all requirements met, he will teleport you to Highway 1.
How To Reach The First Layer – Completing Highway 1
When here, you’ll feel a notable change in the atmosphere. This dingy, darkened place is patrolled by a large monster that stalks around the winding routes of this small map, whilst your screen flashes with pale hands around the border, and the occasional watchful eye.
First, find the Highway Questgiver NPC. This tentacle-like fright requests that you find 4 crystals and return them to him. Fortunately, the map isn’t too large, so you shouldn’t struggle too much. Just be sure to avoid the monster. Luckily, if he does see you, you can outrun him, and he won’t give chase.
After handing over 4 Crystals, speak with the NPC again, and he will teleport elsewhere inside the map. Find him again, and this will trigger your screen to gain a purple tint, signalling your completion of his questlines.
Now, head through the now unlocked door and fight the Highway 1 Boss. I recommend using long-range attacks to keep him away. If you survive the fight, you’ll gain access to the second layer.
