Arise Ragnarok Beginners Guide
Before You Play ARC
Before you start ARC, you need to reroll your Class. For a limited time before the full release, rerolling your Class is free. Utilise this time to swap Classes based on progression to optimised grinding.
Assassin Class
I recommend beginning with the Assassin Class, as the initial strength offered through this lineage helps with levelling up and earning Stat Points to invest back into your build. Assassins also have earlier access to decent skills and weapons, helping with combat.
First Steps
After loading in, speak with any of the NPCs you see running around with a “!” above their head. Regardless of which you interact with, they’ll all have the same quest, so you need only to grab it once.
After this, locate a portal, which you’ll find by following the large “!” inside a triangle on the map. This will spawn the mobs you need to fight to complete the quest.
As you fight, you’ll earn levels, stat points, currency, and shadows. Make sure you equip your shadows so they’re able to spawn and fight alongside you.
Keep repeating these quests.
Stat Points
I have a complete Stat guide if you want a more detailed analysis, but for a simple breakdown, the best build per Class looks like the following:
- Mage
- 200 Vitality, 200 MNA, 200 Agility, and the remainder of the stats into Intelligence
- Healer
- 200 Vitality, 200 MNA, 200 Agility, and the remainder of the stats into Intelligence
- Assassin
- 200 Vitality, 150 Mana, 200 Agility, and the remainder of the stats into Strength
- Warrior
- 200 Vitality, 150 Mana, 200 Agility, and the remainder of the stats into Strength
- Tank
- 200 Vitality, 200 Agility, 150 Shadow, and the remainder of stats into Strength
Levelling Up Quickly – Class Progression
In between quests, you can switch up your build to make levelling up quicker. During the early access release, levelling up is the primary way to progress, so you must stay ahead and max out your level and stats as soon as possible.
- Assassin Class (Levels 1-160)
- Initial strength helps gain Stat points, weapons, and various skills.
- Mage Class (Levels 160-450)
- Gain the Level 40 and Level 160 Skills that burst combos and 1-hit kill mobs within the Dungeons.
- Assassin Class (Levels 450-1,000)
- Gain the Level 450 Skill that 1-hit kills mobs in the dungeon quicker than the Mage Class.
