Anime Vanguards Update 9 Tier List
S-TIER
- Dio (META DPS and Support unit)
- Wonder of You (Deals more DMG the closer he is to enemies)
- Doomslayer (META DPS)
- Godzilla (Full AoE on placement, buffs DOT Effects and burns enemies)
- Hollow Knight (Insane once you collect all the Charms for its kit and evolve this unit to its pure form)
A-TIER
- Konosuba (Self-buffer and buffs allies)
- The Cat (META Support unit)
- Ruby Rose (Decent DPS and SPA)
- Shirou (Decent DPS unit)
B-TIER
- Deku (Banner Unit)
- Ridean VS Samuel (Self-buffer)
C-TIER
- Spot (INF Range but lesser DMG)
D-TIER
- No units here!
What Each Tier Means
S: The strongest of update 9, and maybe overall! Reserved for the top spot, these new meta units are must-haves on your team if you want to thrive during any match. Those in this tier are elite units, with versatile skills and passives, alongside great team synergy with other units from this update and ones before it.
A: Secondary to the top tier, you’d be silly to sleep on these dependable units. They’re some of the best of this update, with great placement skills and upgrades that make them strong contenders if you’re looking for a new loadout.
B: Nestled into the middle tier, we have the average update of 9 units. Those in this tier express decent capabilities based on their placement niche. There are other units out there from either the same update or those before it that do what this unit does, but more refined. But these are still decent choices if you want to reshape your team around the newcomers.
C: Despite escaping the worst tier, those here aren’t community favourites. It takes a lot of material investment for these units to reach the base of other new UPD 9 units, making them easily replaceable and often overlooked.
D: Compared to the other new units added to the roster, these unfortunate few are severely lacking. They’re not suitable replacements for your current team, and unless you’re after collecting them all, you’ll struggle to find much purpose for them in your loadout.
