Umamusume: Pretty Derby Global is giving itself a major gameplay overhaul ahead of schedule. As the game prepares to roll out the 1st Anniversary of its Japanese version, it’s dropping some quality-of-life and balance adjustments much earlier than expected.

The update is set to go live on November 11th at 8:00 a.m. UTC. It’s bringing a bunch of mechanical improvements, new racing systems, and a long list of buffs. Let’s give you the full scoop.

The Age of Haru Urara, it seems, is arriving much earlier in Umamusume: Pretty Derby

The update boosts the rewards from career runs, increasing the amount of money, Support Points, and parameters earned during and after a career. You can also expect more recreation events from R Pal-type Support Cards, a higher event rate for those cards when included in decks. Career-end events tied to Pal-type Support Cards have also been adjusted, offering more meaningful choices.

The update is also looking to reduce the impact of bad conditions. The probability of catching a negative condition during trainee events has been decreased. On the other hand, the chance to recover more energy when resting with Night Owl has gone up.

Some events that previously caused mood drops after inflicting bad conditions will now skip that penalty entirely. Resting or taking recreation during Summer Camp can now cure debuffs, while Etsuko Otonashi’s training can fix the Slacker condition.

Races are also receiving overhauls. The new “Spot Struggle,” “Dueling,” and “Runaway” systems are being added, changing how positioning and pace work in races. Spot Struggle and Dueling introduce new mid-race competitions for dominance. Runaway gives certain horses an advantage when leading early.

Training and story events have also seen reworks. Also, several characters will also receive new event choices. So, grab the game from the Google Play Store or App Store before the event begins.
