Complete Bizarre Lineage Progression Guide
Completing The Tutorial
Learning any new game requires time and patience, but I highly recommend completing the optional Tutorial offered at the start of the game. It will introduce the fundamental controls and provide a brief look at how combat works.
Plus, for completing this, you’ll gain a free 15-minute EXP boost, making the early game grind a little more forgiving.
Unlocking Stands
To unlock your first Stand after the tutorial, you’ll need to use a Stand Arrow on yourself. Stand Arrows are an uncommon item, being relatively easy to find from Chests, on the ground, obtained via NPC kills, or as mission rewards.
Using the Arrow will roll for a random Stand, which you can either train or reroll with the use of another arrow. The current Stands in game include:
- Red Hot Chilli Peppers
- Magician’s Red
- The Hand
- Purple Haze
- Crazy Diamond
- Golden Experience
- Anubis
- Killer Queen
- Weather Report
- Stone Free
- Star Platinum
- King Crimson
- The World High Voltage
- Whitesnake
What Are Stands?
Stands represent a physical manifestation of the player’s life energy or soul. These Stands have otherworldly strength and skills which gradually unlock through a mastery system.
The best ways to train a Stand and unlock its full skillset include:
- Missions
- Killing NPCs and Players
- Winning Ranked
- Winning PvP Missions
- Train using the mats in the Gym.
- Most efficient method
To fully answer what Stands are in relevance to the game, they are the primary combat system, each equipped with unique skills and attacks for players to discover and wield depending on their build. The Stand you get in the early game isn’t all that important, so long as you have one to fight with.
Unlocking Sub-Abilities
To unlock Sub-Abilities, speak with the various trainers around the map, completing their tasks to earn the Ability.
- Ripple
- Location: Ancient Ghost near the 13th Bus Stop.
- Cyborg
- Location: Half-Human Half-Machine near the 3rd Bus Stop.
- Spin
- Location: TBA.
- Vampire
- Requires using a Vampire Mask.
- Location: Dio’s Chapel
Unlocking Fighting Styles
To unlock a Fighting Style, locate and speak with the various trainers around the map, completing their tasks to earn the style.
- Kendo
- Location: 15th Bus Stop inside the Kame Yu Market.
- Boxing
- Location: Second Bus Stop inside the Gym (upstairs)
- Karate
- Location: 15th Bus Stop near the Hospital.
Completing Missions
The Missions Board is the most important early game progression, as it offers simple quests with decent EXP and item rewards.
This helps players refine their playstyle and understand the game better, whilst making steady but rapid progress. After completing the initial game tutorial quests, this should become the next top priority.
PvE quests include:
- Delivering a briefcase to an NPC
- Delivering a letter to an NPC
- Delivering a necklace to an NPC
- Eliminating enemies
Prestige
Prestige is an end-game mechanic, requiring 10,000 Cash and speaking with the Arch Mage in the Hospital.
This unlocks additional storage using Stand Shards, as well as unlocks an end-game shop with valuable materials such as Essence’s Dio’s Diary, Lucky Arrows, and Legendary Chests.
It’s one of the final ways to begin refining a build, helping gain powerful items with less grind.
