Rolling for the rarest seems like the obvious choice, but this isn’t how the game intends to help you choose your ideal Grimoire. Instead, Clover Origins wants you to sample them and figure out the best for your playstyle, with a touch of community bias here and there.

So, I’ve made this Clover Origins Grimoire Tier List to streamline the hunt for the best Grimoire for you. Here, I’ll tell you the commonly agreed best from the worst, why they’ve earned that placement, and everything else you need to know to play efficiently.

Let’s get into it.

Clover Origins Grimoire Tier List

This tier list is up to date as of June 08th, 2026.

S-TIER

  • Time
    • For starters, you’ll automatically gain the Time Mount. Aside from this, every move seems to give the impression that enemies of the user have only a matter of time before their demise. Performs incredibly long-range and high damage skills during PvP and PvE.
  • Light
    • The huge successor to Lightning, somewhat. They’re different in all the best ways. Light brings with it flashy skills that sweep fleets of enemies from close and long range. It’s also quick to refresh, giving you ample time for combos and quick executions.
  • Anti-Magic
    • One of the strongest Grimoires and a lot of players’ personal favourites. It has connections to one of the strongest bosses, the Litch, and for good reason! When maxed out, including the Transform, Anti-Magic is absolutely devastating to hold your own against and incredibly fun to wield if you’re the host.
  • Wind
    • A suffocating and quick Grimoire, which takes the breath away of those who oppose it. Some of the skills look deceptively simple for how strong they are.

A-TIER

  • Fire Mareleona
    • Of all three heat-focused Grimoires, this one pulls ahead as the clear strongest. If you have a bias towards scorching enemies, this is the Grimoire for you! Has incredible variety in its moves and deals great damage, including Burn DOT for that additional sizzle.
  • Dark
    • Intimidating and hard to counter, the Dark Grimoire has a lot of PvP and PvE potential in capable hands. That said, it’s a bit of a predecessor to Anti-Magic. If you like Dark, I recommend aiming for Anti-Magic.
  • Lightning
    • Barrages enemies with shocking power. Jokes aside, Lightning is one of those rare Grimoires where rarity isn’t everything. Deals serious damage and has good versatility and control at close and long range.

B-TIER

  • Fire Magna
    • A Clear upgrade from the Fire Grimoire, but not outstanding enough to raise a tier. Fire Magna has a lot of PvE explosive moves, making it ideal for AoE fights, but less effective at close-range.
  • Water
    • Water has great skills, ranging from PvP to PvE, meaning it’s good at holding its own. The attacks aren’t particularly damaging, but it’s a solid tertiary choice.
  • Fire
    • All moves supply a burn-tick, meaning enemies take additional DOT. It allows the user to be a bit messy during combat, attacking from a distance, running away, or going in for a full assault.
  • Regen
    • Despite its rarity, I think this is a great Grimoire for the early game. It has built-in healing mechanics, but also supplies damage skills for balance. Regen is comfortable, easy to adapt to, and a great Grimoire for learners.

C-TIER

  • Earth
    • The initial skill of Earth is a little clunky, making it hard to control in PvP and PvE fights, leaving the user vulnerable. It’s certainly stronger once its mastery is realised, but getting to that point isn’t seamless for newer players.

D-TIER

  • Reinforcement
    • A simple beat-down Grimoire that prides itself on fist-imbued attacks. It’s relatively simple and not all that powerful after the tutorial quests.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What does each Tier mean?
    • S: The absolute peak of Clover Origins. Those in this tier have the best combat advantage, expressing great versatility and high damage skills across PvP and PvE.
    • A: Solid alternatives to the top tier if you don’t want to risk a reroll, or fancy settling. If you carry these Grimoires well, you can still progress to the end-game and hold your own.
    • B: Nestled into the middle tier, these Grimoires bridge the gap between the early and late-game content. They’re fine to use long-term as you progress, but find themselves outpaced in the late-game.
    • C: These are my ideal picks for early-game players who are getting to grips with the game and learning how to fight with magic.
    • D: The most forgettable Grimoires. Aside from early-game players, these Grimoires don’t see much combat.
  • How do I get more Grimoire Spins?
    • Defeating Bosses and redeeming Codes. You can find all active Codes via the official Discord community.
