How Does The Arise Crossover Pity System Work?

The Pity System makes it easier to acquire higher-ranked shadows when they arise during runs.

For example, after 20 arises, your next shadow is guaranteed to be a rank higher. This means if you convert 20 mobs into shadows that are B-Rank, your next Shadow will be a guaranteed A-Rank.

Using this, it’s easier for players to slowly swap out their team for stronger units if they feel stuck, and can’t seem to pass a certain point when fighting and enlisting shadows.

After 5 Rank-ups, your next Rank-up will guarantee a Double Rank-up. This means after you’ve gotten 5 Pity Rank-up shadows, your next eligible shadow will rank higher than the rest.

So, let’s say you arise 20 Dad Monarchs at G-Rank, the next Dad Monarch will trigger the pity system and rise as an N-Rank. After you receive 5 N-Ranked Dad Monarchs from the pity, the following will be an N+.

The Best Way To Use The Pity System

I recommend visiting the Guild Castle at Levelling City and joining the Hunters Key Dungeon for Dad Monarch. Dad Monarch resides as one of the meta shadows in the game currently, alongside some world bosses.

However, World Bosses spawn way less infrequently, making them harder to exploit the pity system for. Dad Monarch always appears as the final boss for the Hunters Key Dungeon, so long as you craft enough keys and repeat.

In total, you’ll need to do around 100 Dungeon runs to receive your first N+ Rank Dad Monarch.
