The BanG Dream! Summer Presentation 2025 livestream was a 90-minutes feast! I’m calling it so because it revealed several updates for both the It’s MyGO!!!!! and Ave Mujica projects since last year. The most significant news that they announced during the stream is a new Ave Mujica – The Die is Cast anime film.

What’s the scoop?

The newly announced Ave Mujica – The Die is Cast anime movie is a standalone project. It won’t be part of the previously announced TV sequel series. The latter will follow the events of both It’s MyGO!!!!! and Ave Mujica – The Die is Cast series.

The Ave Mujica – The Die is Cast series aired as a 13-episode run from January to March 2025 in Japan. This all comes after the five-member band Ave Mujica was initially introduced in Episode 13 of BanG Dream! It’s MyGO!!!!! in September 2023.

In case you don’t know who Ave Mujica is, let me introduce them to you. They’re an all-female metal band within the broader Bushiroad’s BanG Dream! multimedia franchise. The band’s real-life members portray the same characters in the anime and mobile game BanG Dream! Girls Band Party!.

And of course, they also play their respective instruments during live concerts. The band comprises Kanon Takao on keys, Yuzuki Watase on rhythm guitar, Rico Sasaki on lead guitar and vocals, Mei Okada on bass, and Akane Yonezawa on drums.

In the game, the performers represent five first-year high school students. Sakiko Togawa, Mutsumi Wakaba, Uika Misumi, Umiri Yahata and Nyamu Yūtenji. Each character also uses a nickname associated with lunar maria, namely Oblivionis, Mortis, Doloris, Timoris, and Amoris.

Are you excited that they announced a new Ave Mujica – The Die is Cast anime film?

Well, I definitely am! And I’m so eager to get more scoop on it. Unfortunately, we have to wait a bit for that. As of now, the new anime has opened its own official website and unveiled a key visual. But we do know about the production team.

Kenshiro Morii and Seiya Miyajima are the co-directors, continuing the trend of bringing back familiar creative staff from earlier BanG Dream! projects. For more information, check out this page. You can also follow this X account for more details.
