Bloodlines Village Factions Overview

Factions speed up your progression greatly through early mission board access, so I recommend joining a village as soon as possible during your campaign. Doing so also grants you earlier access to Chakra and Ryo.

In Bloodlines, you have the choice between Durana, Sorythia, Rain and Snow. Your choice isn’t hugely important as the differences between each are minute, so I recommend enlisting in the same village as your friends play.

To join a Village for the first time, you need to have 0 Sin and reside within the Neutral Faction. Two things which are possible if you’re a new player who hasn’t killed another player yet.

Village Exams

Earning enough Reputation (through Missions Boards) will make you eligible for a new rank. Speak to your village chief once you hit the reputation cap to gather the exam quest. These are as follows:

  • Genin
    • Defeat the Barbarian Boss to earn Chunin.
    • +10 Health, +5 Chakra
  • Chunin
    • Defeat a Genin or higher from an opposing village to earn the Jonin rank.
    • +15 Health, +10 Chakra
  • Jonin
    • Defeat a B-Rank or higher Rogue player.
    • +20 Health, +15 Chakra
  • Anbu
    • Titles:
      • Black Ops
      • Special Operative
      • The Shade
      • Former Anbu (if you lose the rank)
  • Kage
    • Titles:
      • Village’s Protector
      • Guardian of the Village
      • Former Kage (if you lose the rank)

Anbu and Kage – Resets and Politics

At the end of each week, all village contributors receive a rank based on their reputation.

The top 25 will receive Anbu, and the top 1 will receive Kage. This comes with additional benefits such as rewards and access to a rank-exclusive accessory store.

At the end of the month, all members have their rank wiped to Jonin, and the reputation race continues. This keeps things fair for newer players to ensure a constant cycle of new Kage and Anbu players.

The current Kage of each village chooses whether they want to ally or go to war with opposing factions. Being at war increases reputation gains and losses from grips. You will also lose access to the Chakra Points in villages you’re at war with, and their market prices will significantly increase.

Allied factions, however, offer cheaper prices in their stores, and you’ll deal 10% less damage to allied factions during the truce. However, when two factions align, they must declare war on an opposing faction.
