Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle is getting MX4D and 4DX screenings soon! It’s Demon Slayer’s first instalment of the Infinity Castle trilogy, and is already dominating the Japanese box office big time.
The movie was officially released on July 18th. It’s being shown in 452 theatres across Japan, including 393 standard screens and 59 IMAX locations.
The film is directed by Haruo Sotozaki at Studio Ufotable, with character design and animation direction by Akira Matsushima. The music is composed by Yuki Kajiura and Go Shiina.
Starting August 15th, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle will hit MX4D and 4DX screens across 74 theatres nationwide. However, it’s for a limited one-week period. So, the preview run ends on August 21st, ahead of the wider release on August 30th.
Internationally, the movie will be distributed by Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Releasing. Several Asian territories will receive the film in August. Meanwhile, theatres in the United States and Canada are scheduled to screen it from September 12th.
There are freebies up for grabs, too!
From August 30th, when the film gets a wider release, there are some awesome freebies up for moviegoers. The first 300,000 people who attend the MX4D or 4DX screenings will get a limited-edition 4D Visual Original Sticker.
As for the story, the latest film picks up right after the Hashira begin their group training. Muzan strikes the Demon Slayer Corps headquarters, drawing Tanjiro and the Hashira into the depths of the Infinity Castle.
As the fight escalates, familiar allies like Zenitsu and Inosuke return alongside Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku, Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui, Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito, and Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji.
