Disgaea RPG is preparing for an unexpected crossover with Blade & Bastard. Unfortunately, it’s not a global event since Boltrend already shut down the global version. The Japanese servers are still active, and that’s where this DisgaeaRPG x Blade and Bastard collaboration will roll out.
What do we know about the DisgaeaRPG x Blade and Bastard collab?
DisgaeaRPG will soon welcome characters from Blade & Bastard. The timing for this event is set around late October 2025, though the exact dates remain unannounced. The only reference so far has been “10月下旬頃,” which loosely means around the end of October.
So, the Blade & Bastard adventurers who once wandered the labyrinth will now find themselves in Disgaea’s dark world, a thematic shift teased for the collab story. So, you can expect the crossover to blend dungeon-crawling grit with over-the-top demon politics.
Speaking of Blade & Bastard characters entering the Disgaea RPG roster, there’s no confirmation yet on which ones will appear. We can only guess how they’ll look in Disgaea’s distinct art style, or what kind of stats, skills, and rarities they’ll have.
But the DisgaeaRPG x Blade and Bastard event is being timed alongside another milestone for Blade & Bastard. The seventh volume of its manga is set to release on October 20th, 2025. Written by Kagyu and illustrated by so-bin, it continues its run with manga art by Kaedzuki Makoto.
Do you play Disgaea RPG?
It’s a spin-off in the Disgaea franchise, the famous tactical RPG series by Nippon Ichi Software. It’s Drecom’s mobile and cross-platform RPG entry in the long-running Disgaea series. It first released in Japan on March 19th, 2019. The global (English) mobile version came out in April 2021.
