Dr. Stone: Science Future Part 3 is confirmed for a 2026 release. The announcement came right after Part 2 of Science Future wrapped up in Japan, alongside a new visual featuring Senku. The upcoming instalment will end Senku’s long-running journey to rebuild civilisation with science.
The anime first aired in July 2019, which was Season 1. Post Season 2, Season 3 was split into two parts, while Season 4 into three parts. Science Future is the fourth season of the anime.
What else do we know about Dr. Stone: Science Future Part 3?
In the final chapter, Senku and the Kingdom of Science will take their ambitions beyond Earth. Following the manga’s last arc, they’ll be aiming for the moon to confront the mysterious Whyman and uncover the true origin of petrification.
The story has shown us a lot! From the earliest experiments in the stone world, through the Stone Wars in 2021, the global trek to South America, and the uneasy alliance with Dr. Xeno. All of these will finally bring the climax of the journey to reach space.
The adaptation has been remarkably consistent across the years. Season 1 ran for 24 episodes in Summer 2019, followed by Stone Wars (Season 2) in Winter 2021 with 11 episodes. A Ryusui special aired in Summer 2022, then the New World arc played out over two cours in Spring and Fall 2023.
Science Future had its first cour in Winter 2025, second cour in Summer 2025, and now the confirmed third in 2026. Studio TMS Entertainment is behind the animation, while Crunchyroll has streamed the series worldwide, and Netflix has picked up the first two seasons as well.
The anime draws from Riichiro Inagaki and Boichi’s manga, which ended its five-year run in March 2022 after 232 chapters. You can learn more about it here.
