The HIGH SCHOOL OF THE DEAD x Arifureta collab has kicked off today. The zombie survival series is crossing over with the browser game Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest – Rebellion Soul. It’s the first time that characters from the series have appeared in the Arifureta game.
The collab starts today, August 12th and runs until August 25th, 2025. Players on the G123 platform can take part in the event without the need for downloads or registration. G123 is described as Japan’s leading HTML5 anime-based game service, and it supports multiple languages.

The event mixes the post-apocalyptic, zombie-infested setting of High School of the Dead with the fantasy world of Arifureta. It introduces Saeko Busujima and Saya Takagi as playable characters, with new swimsuit-themed costumes exclusive for the event.
Alongside them, the crossover also brings alternative outfits that swap the worlds of the two series. You’ll see Yue and Shizuku Yaegashi from Arifureta dressed in Fujimi High School uniforms. Then there’s Kaori Shirasaki as Shizuka Marikawa and Tio in the attire of Yuriko Takagi.

Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest – Rebellion Soul is a game based on the light novel series by Ryo Shirakome. It tells the story of Hajime Nagumo. His life changes after a classmate’s betrayal leaves him stranded at the bottom of the Abyss.
Initially dismissed for his weak Synergist ability, Hajime’s encounter with the vampire Yue sets him on a path to becoming the strongest in the fantasy world. The two later form a strong bond to protect each other.
High School of the Dead is an anime adapted from the manga by Daisuke Sato and illustrated by Shoji Sato. It follows Takashi Komuro and several classmates as they attempt to survive after ‘Them,’ the infected, overrun Fujimi High School.
The group includes Rei Miyamoto, Kota Hirano, Saya Takagi, Saeko Busujima, and school doctor Shizuka Marikawa. Together, they navigate a deadly world after witnessing the infection of Hisashi Igo, who was bitten while trying to protect Rei.
