How To Get A Ranking On Long Distance Uma In Uma Musume Pretty Derby

If you’re participating in a long-distance race, you need to know that these races have certain checkpoints to reach. However, each point requires your Uma to have a certain amount of Stamina. This means that if your Uma doesn’t have enough, they won’t make the checkpoint.

However, if your Uma does reach the checkpoint, you’ll get the option to upgrade your skills and reevaluate your build. I’ll talk more about skills below!

Leveling Up

Before you can make your Uma reach A rank, you’ll need to focus on leveling up, especially ensuring that your Uma has high stamina stats. You’ll also need to focus on leveling up friendship points with support cards. Higher friendships mean better training values.

To level up Uma, you’ll need to train them so they get better. They do say practice makes perfect, right? We have a detailed How to Train any Character in Uma Musume Pretty Derby guide to help.

Upgrading Skills

Once you level up your Uma, you’ll want to focus on leveling up and updating their skills before you play a long-distance race. Due to the stamina checkpoints, make sure you focus on recovery skills.

When viewing your skills, there will be brackets with suggested race types. This indicates which races the skill is best suited to. The Deep Breaths skill is important to upgrade, as this slightly decreases fatigue by your Uma taking a breath upon entering a straight run.
