Ink Game Phantom Step Ability
Phantom Step is a legendary ability with a 2.9% roll chance. When active, it allows the player to perform two instantaneous dashes, thrusting them in the direction they are facing. Think of a Flash Step from Bleach.
Using this, players can quickly evade others or close in depending on the situation.
Best Games To Use Phantom Step
If you’re unsure of how this power is helpful since it doesn’t seem to do much despite its rarity, I’ll detail the best ways to utilise it across any game where it has a chance to shine.
- Red Light Green Light
- The first game, in which all players must survive, is Red Light Green Light. Even without Phantom Step, it’s relatively easy to reach the other side, so long as players don’t knock you over with a fist full of sand. To avoid an untimely demise, Phantom Step allows you to finish the game paces ahead of the others.
- Interludes
- Whilst you wouldn’t die, it’s much easier to travel between games if you have Phantom Step. Other players will try and shove you if you’re near them, and it’ll slow you down when reaching the next area.
- Lights Out
- During this chaotic free-for-all, players will attempt to kill anyone in sight. Phantom Step allows you to do one of two things: dash out of harm’s way and avoid death, or close in on other unsuspecting players to slay them.
- Hide and Seek
- Similar to Lights Out, utilising Phantom Step will depend on your goal. If you’re a hider, this power allows you to escape seekers who threaten your life. As a seeker, it allows you to catch up to running hiders and kill them.
- Glass Bridge
- This luck-based challenge is one of the final games and most difficult since there’s no real trick to it. However, Phantom Step allows you to skip over a tile, reducing the risk of losing. That said, hopefully the one you land on isn’t flimsy.
- Mingle
- During Mingle, you need to quickly enter and secure a room to avoid being shot. It’s a race against all other players, which Phantom Step allows you to excel at since you’re quicker than the average player.
- Rebellion
- Rebellion is a timed ending; kill all guards and escape via the helicopter. With Phantom Step, you can make quick work of traversing and getting out of the crossfire more easily if guards target you.
