The anime adaptation of Asari Endo and Maruino’s light novel series Magical Girl Raising Project is coming soon. Magical Girl Raising Project Restart has revealed a new trailer and teaser visual, which are, in fact, its first glimpse.
Ahead of its planned 2026 broadcast, the new key visual features Pechika, the central character, surrounded by drifting flower petals. It’s drawn by character designer Maruino.
The trailer also showcases the opening song No tears here performed by Minori Chihara. She’s best known for singing the ending theme of Violet Evergarden. Meanwhile, the ending theme ReMind will be performed by Daisy x Daisy, who previously sang opening themes for Fairy Tail.

Let’s give you the details on the production team. The director of the anime is Hiroyuki Hashimoto, who worked as an assistant director on TOUGEN ANKI, under studio SynergySP. Series composition is handled by Takao Yoshioka, and character designs by Masako Ito.
Interestingly, the trio Hashimoto, Yoshioka, and Ito previously collaborated on the first Magical Girl Raising Project anime at studio Lerche. That time, Ito served as SD character designer.
In addition to the visual and trailer reveal, several cast and staff members have shared their thoughts about joining the project. Honoka Inoue, who voices Pechika, called her role a dream come true.
She described Pechika as a girl balancing her everyday struggles with the responsibilities of being a magical girl. She’s hoping her portrayal will linger in viewers’ hearts as warmly as the meals Pechika loves to make.
Author Asari Endo mentioned he’s mostly looking forward to watching it as a fan. Meanwhile, Maruino, the original character designer, reflected on how passionate he was when designing characters for the sequel novel.
