The series had already confirmed a 2026 return, but now we know that it will premiere in January 2026. It was announced at a special event in Japan this weekend. While no exact release date has been set, it will be released as part of the Winter 2026 anime schedule.
The team released a teaser trailer and poster revealing what’s coming in Oshi no Ko Season 3. This time, Ruby is in the spotlight. The teaser places her on the set of the internet variety show Dig Deep! One Chance!!, shifting the focus from the Aqua-driven storylines of past seasons. Watch the new trailer right here.
While the returning cast from the first two seasons is expected to reprise their roles, the cast list is expanding in Season 3. Yuto Takenaka will be the voice of Shun Yoshizumi. And Yoji Ueda, who many will recognise as Eisen from Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, will voice Tetsu Urushibara.
The Oshi no Ko anime is produced at studio Doga Kobo, directed by Daisuke Hiramaki. The series composition is handled by Jin Tanaka, character designs by Kanna Hirayama, and music is composed by Takuro Iga.
It started as a collaboration between Aka Akasaka, best known for Kaguya-sama: Love is War, and illustrator Mengo Yokoyari of Scum’s Wish. The manga wrapped up last year, making Season 3 the first new instalment of the story since its conclusion in print.
