Code Geass is gearing up for a massive celebration for its 20th anniversary. Yep, it’s marking two decades since Lelouch first turned the world upside down. The celebratory event is officially titled Road to CODE GEASS 20th Year and kicks off a long list of events and releases leading up to the big milestone in 2026.
The original anime, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, first aired in Japan back in October 2006. Now, the franchise is bringing for a nostalgic return to its world of rebellion and power.
The celebration begins with the Code Geass Project ‘To 20th’ event at Belle Salle Shinjuku Grand in Tokyo on December 7th, 2025. Fans attending will see some familiar voices take the stage. There will be Jun Fukuyama, the voice of Lelouch Lamperouge.
Alongside him, there will be Kohei Amasaki, who voices Rozé, and Makoto Furukawa, who plays Ash. The event will feature a voice cast talk session as well. And soon, the team will drop a new reading drama and announcements teasing what’s next for the franchise.
Road to CODE GEASS 20th Year includes movies, too!
The Code Geass 20th Anniversary Retrospective: Road to CODE GEASS 20th Year will bring all 13 Code Geass movies back to theatres across Japan. The screenings begin on January 6th, 2026, and continue every other Tuesday and Thursday through June 2026.
The lineup includes the entire Lelouch of the Rebellion trilogy, all five chapters of Akito the Exiled, Lelouch of the Re;surrection, and the four acts of Rozé of the Recapture.
In addition to the screenings, you can grab exclusive movie tickets featuring a new commemorative illustration created just for the anniversary. Single tickets are priced at 1,900 yen, available from October 10th, 2025, to January 5th, 2026. You can get them via theatres, Major mail order, and the MOVIE WALKER STORE.
