This temporary partnership boasts tons of fun in-game challenges and limited collectables to commemorate The Battle Cats’ tenth anniversary, and accumulation of over 100 million downloads in 2025 alone.

From the trailer, we see Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Shadow speeding around winding terrain until they spot an unusually large gold ring. In typical Sonic fashion, he can’t help but investigate the jumbo currency.
The coin spins to reveal a silhouette of a cat in its centre, which quickly spews out into a portal and absorbs Sonic and his friends. Cat chaos ensues!
Faced with bizarre beasts taking many forms and sizes, Sonic and friends look shocked to have fallen into this new world. Surrounded by feisty felines, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Shadow all team up with The Battle Cats to take over the world! Or at least, take over the app.

This Sonic The Hedgehog x The Battle Cats collaboration features several limited maps based on the classic stages from Sonic games such as Green Hill Zone, Chemical Plant Zone, Sky Sanctuary, and Radical Highway.
