Type Soul Ichimonji Obtainment

Ichimonji is a 50 Kendo move. To obtain it, you need to invest 50 Skill Points into your Kendo Skill Tree.

Kendo is iconically known for prioritising sword-based attacks, and whilst it doesn’t start strong, the later moves available, such as Ichimonji, are incredibly powerful.

But what makes Ichimonji so META?

Ichimonji Attributes

Ichimonji, per its in-game description, is: “A devastating downwards strike that bypasses guards and crushes posture.

In short, this means Ichimonji completely ignores blocks and posture when striking an enemy, so other players cannot avoid this high-damage and rapid blow. It works similarly to Overpowering Slash, but is far better.

Ichimonji is a close-range attack with low reach, so timing it is the difference between having the upper hand in combat or completely fumbling. This very precise move has a 22-second cooldown between strikes, which is very slim considering it’s a guard-breaking proc.

Depending on the build of your opponent, it’s known to deal around half a bar’s worth of damage.

How To Get More Skill Points

Since Ichimonji is on the higher end of the Kendo investment tree, you may need to rely on items to get more Skill Points.

To do this, you need to source a Red Elixir. Per faction save, you can use a Red Elixir twice, each time gaining 5 additional Skill Points for a total of 10.

Red Elixirs are a Raids prize, or are alternatively found in the KT Store post-raid, costing 8,000 Kan to buy.
