Weak Legacy 2 Ice Katana
The Ice Katana is found in the Snowy Tundra and is obtainable for 1 Million Yen and 3 Crystal Essences.
When bought, it applies a permanent +10 Strength buff to both the player’s Katana and Breathing Technique, alongside 2 new moves.
Crystal Essences primarily drop from Dungeons, but you’re also rarely able to get them through Codes if you want to cut out some of the monotonous grind.
Where To Find The Ice Katana
When you spawn in, leave the starter village and immediately head right, following the natural dirt path that carves its way through the forest.
If you keep heading straight, you’ll eventually see the snowy tundra in the distance, with the Rui boss somewhere on the left.
Head into the snowy tundra and keep heading straight. You’ll soon see snowflake particles on top of a small snowy hill emitting upwards. Climb this, and you’ll see the Katanas’ edge wedged into the ground, available for purchase for 1M Yen and x3 Crystal Essences.
Katana vs Soryu and Ascetic
The Katana is a big investment financially, so is it worthwhile, or should you opt for one of the other fighting styles?
Well, all three have unique obtainments, but the same +10 Strength buff and additional combo moves, so the best of the three is the one which is easiest to obtain.
Soryu requires being level 100+, paying 100,000k Yen, and defeating a series of enemies, including x50 Lower Moon Demons 4 and the Akaza boss. The Ascetic requires level 500+, 500,000k Yen, and 200 Demon Horns.
So, between the three, the Soryu or Ice Katana are the easiest to obtain, depending on whether you’re late-game enough to defeat Akaza and 50 Lower 4s, or have the patience to save up 1M Yen.
