Type Soul Suzumushi Moves

Let’s get right into the fun stuff.

  • M1: After landing several slashes on an opponent, the Suzumushi player phases through their target, leaving a line of thin cuts along their path.
  • (Counter): Counters a move; however, it isn’t a frame 1 counter.
  • G: The user casts a domain expansion-like dome around themselves, entrapping enemies within a black dome that blinds them.
    • Cooldown: 300 seconds.
  • C: A simple forward-slashing move that inflicts impact blindness on a target to disorientate them.
    • Proc move.
  • Z: A situational move. If the user attacks and the enemy is blocking, then this lunge slash attack will do no damage; however, on their second try, it will bypass block and the player will leap into the air, raining slashes onto them.
    • This move works similarly to Horizon, but is a weaker strain.

Overall, the skills of this Bankai are lacklustre. Most don’t deal much damage, if they hit at all. Its M1 is honestly its best move, but that isn’t enough to make it balanced or meta.

What Is Suzumushi

As mentioned, Suzumushi is a new Bankai, a Shinigami prestige that’s only available to the Soul Reaper faction.

There are several stages to unlocking your Bankai, which include:

  • First Stage
    • Winning 13 Raids (Karakura Town Raids do not count)
  • Second Stage (Must be completed without death, or else you’ll be required to restart)
    • 50 Hollow NPC Kills
    • 10 Elite Grade Grips
    • 1 World Boss Kill
    • Speak to Kisuke to start a trial where you must find your real sword
  • Third Stage
    • Meditate and speak with your Shikai. After the dialogue, defeat your inner Shikai boss to unlock your Bankai.
