Whilst traversing the anime-inspired habitats across Anipixels, I found some Dragon Balls. At first, I figured finding all seven of them would unlock Shenron as a unit, but what actually happened was far better than I ever imagined.

So, let me tell you where I found the Anipixels Dragon Balls, and what wish I received after using them.

Where I Found The Anipixels Dragon Balls

The Dragon Balls spawn in seven locations around the map. After hours of hunting, I learned that they spawn hourly in Public Servers and have a 25% spawn rate hourly in Private Servers.

The locations I found them include:

  • Within Hueco Mundo Jail
  • On top of the Morioh Tree
  • Under the waterfall near Kaido
  • Inside the Shibuya Pizza Restaurant
  • Inside the Shibuya Vending Machine
  • Under the waterfall in DBZ (Hell)
  • Behind the Demon Slayer Entrance

With the spawn being guaranteed in Public Servers, and RNG in Private, it made sense to stay Public and race to the different locations in hopes of being the first player to get the Dragon Ball.

However, I later discovered two other Dragon Ball obtainment methods that were far easier.

  • Redeem the FreeDragonBall Code.
    • Redeem via Shop and scroll to the code input box.
  • Complete Daily Quests.
    • Speak with the Sung Jinwoo NPC resting against the tree at spawn (Naruto Village). He will have a new series of quests every 24 hours in exchange for Dragon Balls, Coins, and other rewards.

What The Dragon Balls Do

When gathering all of the Dragon Balls together and using them, I was able to select a Mega Sparkling unit of my choice.

Mega isn’t the largest unit variant, but they’re not overlooked either. Being only one tier down from the largest (Titan), they have an affinity for DMG and HP, having a higher stat for both versus a smaller unit of the same character.

As for Sparkling, this mostly cosmetic feature is basically Anipixels version of shiny Pokémon. They’re sought-after because they’re rare and flashy.

Mega Sparkling Method

With the Daily Quest method, this guarantees a free Mega Sparkling every week unless I find the seven Dragon Balls sooner. Using this, I can now work on making a full squad of Mega Sparklings to help carry me into the end-game and take on new enemies and challenges.

Or, if around for every spawn, it will take 7 hours (or less inluding Daily Quest) to get a free Mega Sparkling unit. I’m not that chronically online, so I think I’ll aim for 1x a week.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Q: How do unit sizes work?
    • A: Each unit has a chance to be a different size when obtained, giving them unique stats. Regular units have the lowest DMG and HP, followed by Giant, Mega, and Titan at the top with the highest DMG and HP for that unit variant.
