Just a day after Muv-Luv: Tactics – Kalidasa at Nightmare launched its Steam page and Discord server, we’ve got some more Muv-Luv news! Today, it’s Muv-Luv Girls Garden, which is getting a release outside Japan.
Initially announced in May 2024, Muv-Luv Girls Garden launched in Japan in September 2025. And now, we finally have confirmation that the idle RPG based on one of Japan’s most influential visual novel franchises is getting a global version.
Muv-Luv Girls Garden now has a Steam page confirming the global release in Q4 2026. It’s being developed by MOEDOKI and published by MOEDOKI, Shiravune, and aNCHOR Inc. And the best part is that it will launch as a free-to-play game.
So, what’s the game like?
Muv-Luv Girls Garden centres on a strange and dangerous underground abyss where the normal laws of existence no longer apply. Gravity behaves unpredictably, living creatures are transformed into grotesque forms, and those who enter risk being swallowed by the endless depths. This place is known as the Maze.
You follow an amnesiac commander and a group of girls seemingly chosen by fate. They continue their descent into the abyss while bound together by a curse called hope. They’re also students of Zar’tum Academy.
The settlement includes academic institutions, artistic programs, sports facilities, residential districts, commercial areas, and industrial sectors. It effectively operates as an independent self-governing city. At the heart of this society is the Pilot Department, where those willing to challenge the dangers of the Maze gather and train.
To navigate the dangers in the abyss, the academy relies on giant humanoid machines known as Maze Guarders or MGs. Originally designed for mining Tatsumiya Ore, the machines evolved into highly versatile units capable of traversing the Maze’s difficult terrain.
