Aether Gazer is officially preparing to wind down development. Yes, the devs are being smart about it! They haven’t announced an EOS for Aether Gazer, but they’ve confirmed that no new content will be released going forward.

The game’s final content update will arrive as Version V5.2 on July 23rd, 2026. While active development is ending, the game itself is not shutting down completely. After updates stop, the servers will remain online, allowing players to continue logging in and playing.

Also, it’s only for the Chinese servers, not the global ones. But you and I both know that this will probably be the case for the global version as well. Sooner or later. Just for your information, the Chinese version launched in April 2022, while the global version launched in May 2023. So, you do the math!

Actually, global is a few patches behind and relies on the Chinese version for future content. So, it’s highly unlikely that the remaining updates will ever be localized. And especially when you consider global’s significantly lower revenue.

They’re giving away rewards for ‘not’ announcing the Aether Gazer EOS

As a thank-you to every player, every server will receive a special appreciation package after the Version V5.2 update goes live. You can claim the rewards which include 90 Precise Detection Certificates, 1 Sleeping Child of True Sakura, 1 Oath Ring, and 168 Costume Change Tickets.

Meanwhile, the final major update will introduce an event called Heart’s Choice Moment. Players who participate will be able to obtain one selectable corrector, including every corrector released up to Version V5.2.

The developers also confirmed that a With You version is planned. This update will adjust in-game events, card pool rotations, and resource output while transitioning Aether Gazer into a companion server mode.

Do you still play the game? If yes, then check out the roadmap for the game’s remaining milestones on the official website.
