Upcoming Attack on Titan Murder Mystery Game Has Been Announced!

I don’t think an Attack on Titan Murder Mystery game was what anyone had on the cards, but who am I to complain? Studio OZON has announced a brand new game. Although the developers haven’t announced a release date, it’s always fun to theorise about what we can expect.

A Mystery Inside the Walls

Me finding out there is a new game coming out! Yes Yelena, it is indeed an auspicious day.

On the 22nd of November, 2025, Studio OZON shared a post on X (formerly known as Twitter) with the iconic quote Mikasa originally said in the show: “The world is cruel… And… so very beautiful.” Followed by: “Production is confirmed”.

Aside from the production confirmation, that’s all we know at the moment. It isn’t a lot, but a murder mystery is very fitting for Attack on Titan. There are multiple twists, turns, and unexpected plots throughout the show. I won’t add any spoilers, but we all know there were multiple impostors in the Survey Corps. It would be fun to see everyone try and figure out who everyone is and what’s going on.

Hajime Isayama is a mastermind when it comes to foreshadowing. There are tons of hidden details throughout Attack on Titan. Fans are still figuring out the pieces even years after the show ended! A murder mystery is a great way for more secrets to be revealed (or to stay hidden).

The Game is Afoot!

Look at their little tie…

One character comes to mind for me, and that is Hange. Although they are my favourite (alongside Yelena), they have the brains and intellect to be a main character in a murder mystery. Not to mention, they already have a detective outfit in the official AOT 2 game. It’s a perfect match!

Alongside Hange, there are multiple smart characters in the show. The cast and setting are perfect for a mystery. Perhaps they will explore inside the walls, or they’ll venture outside? It will be interesting to see where they decide to set this game and how it fits into the timeline of events.
