Frequently Asked Questions

  • Q: What do the tiers mean?
    • S: The strongest weapons in Devil Hunter. Those here are hard to counter and be on the receiving end of, as they offer high damage skills and express excellent versatility. They’re adaptable to all enemy types and very fearsome!
    • A: Ideal alternative options. Those here have some small issues that bring them down a tier. It may be that their skill roster isn’t varied, or they don’t deal as much damage.
    • B: Average weapons. Those here are ideal for early-game players whilst they work towards obtaining something better. They’re decent at dealing with a series of combat scenarios, but aren’t perfect.
    • C: Niche and situational. These weapons are decent in certain battles, but often feel lacklustre to use. Overall, I don’t recommend them.
    • D: The beginner weapons. These early game choices are forgettable and quite poor to use.
  • Q: What are the Weapon categories?
    • Light: These weapons are small and quick, dealing rapid but low damage jabs. They’re often associated with the early game, unless you get a rare Light Weapon variant.
    • Medium: Well-balanced all-rounder weapons that are ideal for the majority of players. They’re average, offering mid-damage skills.
    • Heavy: Slower, yet tankier weapons. Heavy weapons require skill to wield as they need perfect aim to use, as otherwise, enemies may deal finishing blows before Heavy users can counter. Natural high-damage.
    • Firearms: This category is reserved for all gun-like weapons. All of these weapons are best used at long range.
    • Martial Arts: Typically close-range. This category is unique in that it blends weaponry and fist combat. It’s versatile and deals serious damage in the right hands.
