A new trailer and a main visual are out for the TV anime Scenes from Awajima. Also known as One Hundred Views of Awashima (Awashima Hyakkei in Japanese), it’s internationally referred to as Scenes from Awajima.

The anime is an adaptation of the original manga by Takako Shimura. The latest visual shows the story inside an opera school. You can see the contrast between the intense brightness of the stage and the dark shadows behind the scenes mirrors the emotional state of the girls who train there. It suggests the distance between aspiration and reality at Awashima Opera School.

Meanwhile, the Scenes from Awajima trailer focuses on two central figures. They’re the gifted scholarship student Okabe Emi and Ibuki Keiko, who both admires and envies her. Emi is portrayed as someone whose presence dominates the room, while Keiko’s perspective introduces a more conflicted tone.

The video shows Keiko from the future, where she has become a teacher at Awashima Opera School. She’s looking back and expressing regret over the sins she committed during her own student days. Take a look at the Scenes from Awajima trailer yourself!
