Good Smile Company has rolled out a major update for Jigokuraku: Battle in Hell’s Paradise. While it prepares for the game’s upcoming Steam launch with support for both Japanese and English, there’s something else in store for global players.
Before that Steam version arrives, English-speaking players can jump into a brand-new English-language World beginning July 1st. Alongside the launch, the game is also introducing a set of in-game events, special recruitment banners, and new details.
As part of the celebration, Jigokuraku: Battle in Hell’s Paradise is running a Reprise Select Encounter event together with a New World Opening Celebration Campaign. It gives you a chance to compete for high-value rewards while also strengthening your teams through event content.
At the same time, the devs have shared a digest of the game’s features that have been appearing on the Steam Store News page. It includes the game’s opening animation, which is now available to watch outside of the game for the first time.
The animation was produced by MAPPA and is paired with Beautiful Hell, a completely new theme song written, composed, and performed by Reol. The sequence focuses on the game’s cooperative and PvP combat, with the music capturing the atmosphere of Hell’s Paradise.
The soundtrack of Jigokuraku: Battle in Hell’s Paradise uses live performances on traditional Japanese instruments. Tsugaru shamisen is performed by Sayo Komada, while the shakuhachi parts are performed by Akihisa Kominato. It creates the distinctive atmosphere of Shinsenkyo throughout the game.
Story content is another major focus in the new English world of Jigokuraku: Battle in Hell’s Paradise
You can revisit the events of the anime while also unlocking almost 200 fully voiced original stories. These exclusive scenarios were supervised by Hell’s Paradise series composer Akira Kindaichi. And every playable character has their own voiced side story performed by the game’s voice cast.
Jigokuraku: Battle in Hell’s Paradise is available on Android, iOS and PC.
