Kotobukiya is adding a new game to its Arcanadea franchise. They just announced Arcanadea – Gleam Gatherers, a mobile action RPG that will launch later in 2026. It’s actually the first video game adaptation of the Arcanadea series.
And this is what everyone was waiting for. The franchise already has plastic model kits, comics, voice content, merchandise, and other multimedia projects. So, it was only natural for them to step into the gaming area.
Set in the world of Arcanadea, Arcanadea – Gleam Gatherers puts you in control of various Dears, the franchise’s central heroines. You’ll be battling creatures known as XenoAlma, progressing through stages, gathering stronger equipment, and unlocking a variety of outfits and customisation options.
Alongside familiar faces from the model kit line, the game will also introduce original characters. While Kotobukiya hasn’t yet shown any gameplay footage, the company has revealed character designs for the protagonist and heroine, illustrations, and super-deformed character artwork.

They’ve opened pre-registration for the game through its official website. Kotobukiya is also running a pre-registration campaign until the day before the game’s launch. It involves a bunch of rewards for the players who pre-register.
The developers are planning a pre-release playable test version. It will be available at a future Arcanadea event later in 2026. They will share more information about that event on August 29th, with a playtest opportunity for attendees, probably.
What about the story?
It begins after a catastrophic incident The Night of Destruction. Following this world-altering event, a mysterious realm called the Arcana Space emerges. Although humans aren’t supposed to be able to enter this strange domain, a young boy suddenly awakens there. After a desperate struggle to survive, he encounters a dying Dear named Refilka.
Both characters suffer profound losses. The boy has lost his life, while Refilka has been stripped of her power. Their shared quest to recover what was stolen becomes the driving force behind the narrative. The appearance of Arcana Space and the consequences of the disaster form the backdrop of the story.
