Blue Archive has got a big content drop, and this time the spotlight is on a mystery involving one of Japan’s most famous cryptids. So, Nexon has rolled out the Kivotos’ Unsolved Mystery: In Search of Tsuchinoko, the Unknown Creature update for Blue Archive.
The update is available on both Steam and mobile for the anime-style RPG. You’ll see new playable students, a fresh event story, returning characters, boss events, and a bunch of limited-time reward campaigns.
Here’s what Kivotos’ Unsolved Mystery: In Search of Tsuchinoko, the Unknown Creature brings to Blue Archive
Two new 3-star students are available through the Pick-up Recruitment event. Konoka joins as a Mystic-type Tank built for the front lines. Her EX Skill hits every enemy in a fan-shaped area with a powerful attack.
The second new student is Rena from the Wild Hunt Academy of Arts. She’s an Explosive-type Supporter whose EX Skill removes one harmful debuff from a single ally. Meanwhile, several older students are also back in this update, including Hare (3-star, Camp), Kotama (3-star, Camp), Maki (3-star, Camp), and Misaki (3-star).
The new event story follows Konoka as she sets out to track down the legendary cryptid Tsuchinoko in hopes of avoiding a terrible stroke of bad luck. Sensei joins the expedition alongside her unusual online friends, Rena and Tsubasa, as the group heads to a remote mountain lodge. Finishing the story, quests, and challenge content rewards you with Pyroxene, Credit Points, and other special rewards.
There are more events happening
Final Restriction Release: Tiphareth (Elastic Armor) runs until August 17th. It lets you claim every reward up to the highest stage you’ve cleared once you defeat the Final Restriction Release boss.
Another boss challenge, Total Assault: Goz (Field Warfare), runs until August 3rd. Clearing it can earn you Clear Rewards, Total Points Rewards, and Rank Rewards.
The Bounty Double Rewards Campaign runs until July 27th, giving you double rewards from Bounty stages. After that, the Mission (Normal) Double Rewards Campaign takes over from July 27th through August 3rd, offering double rewards for Normal Missions.
