We’ve got a long road ahead of us, so I won’t waste any time introducing you to my complete player-made guide on how to get Schrift in VV ULTIMATUM. I’ll tell you the full obtainment route, and dabble in the Schrift variants.

How To Get Schrift in VV ULTIMATUM
Before starting, you need to reach level 25+, as this proves to the important NPCs ahead that you’re out of the early-game beginners phase.
Once level 25+, press L to conjure your very own Lieutenant Commander, who offers a variety of quests:
- Map Cleaning [1-Star]: Kill Hollows around the map.
- Hollow Elimination [1-Star]: Kill Hollows.
- Complete Missions (PVP/PVE) [3-Stars]: Complete 3 low-rank Missions
- Menos Elimination [2-Star]: Complete Rendezvous Mission via Low-Class tab.
Repeat these and avoid PvP missions for quicker completion and faster progression. The quickest mission to complete is the Rendezvous mission, found under the Missions Tab and Low-Class.
Complete until the Lieutenant Commander gives a new prompt on the progress report after a job well done.
Crafting Sanrei Gloves
The commander will now require you to craft Sanrei Gloves.
First, enter Wandenreich and speak with the Relic Keeper NPC, and buy the Schematic from him for 250 Soul Tokens.
Next, collect a Broken Medallion, dropped by the Rogue Commander boss in the Arctic Plains.
You will also need a Frost Alloy, gained via Crafting, and two Strange Essences.
After attaining all items, craft them together into the Sanrei Gloves. Speaking to the Lieutenant again, when complete, will give you an evolved weapon that includes a special crit move.
Letztstil Obtainment
Before moving on to Scrift, you need to unlock your Letzt Stil. To do this, complete missions until the Lieutenant gives you a prompt to become more tuned with your Reishi control. You can track this via his progress report.
Call upon the Lieutenant with the glove on and press L to Meditate. This will drain your Reishi and make you fall asleep. Repeat this around 5 times when your Reishi refills.
Next, take off the glove and speak with the Lieutenant, asking for a progress report. He should say your Reishi has stabilised.
After this, summoning him again will give you the message that the King has granted you some of his power. Now, when equipping the gloves, you’ll trigger Letzt Stil (press E).
Note: If the Lieutenant doesn’t give commentary on the King, repeat Missions and Meditation until he does.
Schrift Obtainment
Now, finally, we move on to Schrift! Start by completing more missions until the Lieutenant requests that you seek out a disgusting shinigami. By this, he means to defeat Thor.
Thor spawns in the Arctic Plains (follow the Arctic Hermit quest). Before entering the middle of the arena, set your spawn. After entering, you’ll teleport into the Arctic Cave and battle Thor.
I recommend using M1S to take Thor into his second phase, and then popping your Letzt to finish him off.
After defeating him, complete more missions until you’re granted more power by the king (via Lieutenant progress reports). After this, you can pop Schrift by pressing E when not wearing the gloves.
