The First Descendant is dropping a collaboration with the EVANGELION anime pretty soon! The latest devlog gave a detailed look at what’s arriving in the game on June 18th, 2026. So, there’s new content, a major balance pass for Bunny, multiple events, and more details about the upcoming second-anniversary celebration.
The First Descendant x EVANGELION collaboration event brings several characters from the anime
The cosmetic content is inspired by Rei Ayanami, Asuka Shikinami Langley, and Mari Makinami Illustrious. You can customise your Descendants with items based on the three pilots, including their signature Plugsuits, hairstyles, and makeup styles.
The First Descendant x EVANGELION collaboration also adds themed accessories, emotes, pin badges, and weapon skins. It will be available for six weeks, running from June 18th through July 30th. And that’s not a short period, let me tell you.
During that time, you can unlock exclusive rewards such as collaboration-themed name cards and photo frames. You can earn them from a variety of objectives, including daily logins, research activities, defeating Wall Crasher, and entering operation zones.
Apart from the collab materials, the update includes a new infiltration dungeon called Bastion of Immortality in the Axion Plains region. The dungeon explores how the Vulgus have been making use of research data and facilities stolen from the Void Vessel.

Meanwhile, the second anniversary is coming soon!
To mark The First Descendant’s second anniversary, NEXON will host Descendant Fest 2026 on July 1st at 5:00 PM PT. The event will reveal the game’s roadmap for the second half of the year, showcase upcoming special events, and premiere a special story trailer.
There are more new things happening in the game, like the addition of a new Ultimate Weapon, the Ultimate Weapon Growth Mission II event, and the Back to Albion event.
