How To Get Upper Seals and Power Shards in Sailor Piece

The Moon UPD added a new enhancement system and Melee, meaning once again, players, including myself, are scrambling to unveil new item drops and find out where they fit into their progression.

Since I’ve figured it out, I’ll share with you how to get Upper Seals and Power Shards in Sailor Piece and tell you a little about each item and how they function in-game.

Let’s get into it!

How To Get Upper Seals and Power Shards in Sailor Piece

Despite no correlation, both the Upper Seals and Power Shards drop from any NPCs or Bosses within the game, with a higher chance from stronger enemies.

Due to this, I recommend spending your time at Judgement Island, clearing out the cluster of 5 NPCs using any insta-kill AoE skill at your disposal.

If you want to go the extra mile, set the Atomic boss to auto-spawn and equip Gilgamesh, and trigger the V-Skill on autoplay to target the Boss and Arena Fighter NPCs in one go.

Increasing Your Luck

I also recommend checking out my article on getting a Max Luck build for farming in Sailor Piece if you want to increase your odds of finding the Upper Seals and Power Shards much more efficiently.

Luck builds negate some of the time-investment needed for low drop rate grinds, letting you get back on track with the new update content, which I also covered in my Sailor Piece Melee Tier List and Sailor Piece Accessories Tier List.

Shameless plugs out of the way, let’s talk about the Upper Seals and Power Shards’ uses.

Upper Seals

You use Upper Seals to spawn the new Kokushibo (Moon Slayer) boss at Boss Island. The higher the difficulty, the more Upper Seals are required to spawn him.

Additionally, you’ll need 25x Upper Seals to attain the Moon Slayer Melee from the corresponding NPC on the coast at the back of Boss Island.

Hint: If you’re struggling to stack Upper Seals to spawn Kokushibo, you can join the fight alongside other players who spawn him instead. To qualify for Boss Drops, you need to contribute 10% DMG overall.

Power Shards

Power Shards link to a new system added during the Moon UPD on April 1st, 2026. They allow players to reroll for a new Power at Lawless Island, using the Power NPC.

To unlock the reroller, you need to first reach level 11,500 and pay the Power NPC 5,500 Gems.

This new system applies different stats and passive enhancements, similarly to how Clans work. The main difference is that Powers buff your character, instead of focusing on Melee or Sword, allowing for more build diversity.

The current best Powers to reroll for include:

  • Cursebrand (Mythic 0.2% chance)
    • +18-30% DMG
    • +15-30% HP
    • +2-4% Crit Chance
    • +6-12% Crit DMG
    • Passive: After attacking an NPC, it takes 10-15% increased DMG
    • 2 Players can stack max
  • Colossus (Mythic 0.2% chance)
    • +20-34% DMG
    • +20-35% HP
    • +1.5-3% Crit Chance
    • +5-10% Crit DMG
    • +7.5-15% Luck
    • Passive: Deals 15-25% more DMG to Bosses

With such a devastatingly low drop rate, you’ll need plenty of Power Shards to get a decent roll. Good luck!
