I’ve given myself a pretty bold claim to live up to, but I guarantee that by the end of this article, you’ll better understand how to farm obscure materials, and the best part is that this method applies to so many other items in the game. EZ PZ!
So, let’s cut the chit-chat and get into it.
Sailor Piece Dark Grail Farming Method
The Dark Grail item drops from any NPC with a low chance. An obtuse problem with an easy fix.
For this farming method, you’ll need the Quake Fruit and enough stat points to handle Shinjuku Island mobs (Level 7,000 Curses and Level 6,000 Strong Sorcerers).
I recommend refunding all of your Stats and investing solely into the Power stat to buff Quake.
The Method
Travel to Shinjuku Island and stand facing the ocean close to the set spawn crystal and teleporter portal. Equip the Quake fruit and trigger the C-Move, conjuring two devastating waves that crash inwards towards the player.
This allows you to target the NPCs on both sides of the island, killing 10 NPCs instead of the typical cluster of 5 from other islands’ radius.
If you have enough stat points, you’ll instantly kill all 10 enemies. By the time they respawn, the C-Move will have come off cooldown, allowing you to idly farm materials.
Increasing Your Luck
This part is optional in the grind, but taking the time to increase your Luck will significantly lower the amount of total time you’ll spend farming.
Increasing Luck enhances your chance at rarer drops. Pretty, simple, and theres several ways to boost it:
- Runes
- It’d be Rune not to share my masterlist. Of all available, I recommend the Fortune Rune, which adds +10% Luck at its base level, and +15% Luck when maxed.
- Titles
- A bunch of Boss Kill Reward Titles apply Luck boosts. They’re pretty easy to unlock and upgrade over time, so I recommend checking if you already have some.
- Clans
- Some Clans (primarily Legendary rarity) offer Luck boosts. The linked guide takes you to a complete masterlist with Clan obtainments, reroll chances, and buffs.
- 2x and 3x Luck Weekends
- Each weekend, the game hosts a 2x or 3x Luck event, applying global boosts to all players.
Using The Dark Grail
The Dark Grail has two primary uses: spawning the Saber Alter Boss via Boss Island, and unlocking the Saber Alter Melee via the Trainer.
To unlock the new Spec, the Saber Alter Trainer requires:
- Corrupt Tyrant (Title)
- 25x Dark Grails
- 15x Morgan Remnants
- 8x Alter Essences
- 3x Corrupt Cores
- 1x Corrupt Crown
All drops, aside from the Dark Grail, drop from the Saber Alter Boss.

- A: Travel to Sailor Island and speak with the Gem Fruit Dealer or Gold Fruit Dealer to roll for a random Fruit.
- Q: Why is the Quake Method ideal?
- A: Other Islands only offer NPC clusters of 5, meaning the Shinjuku Island Quake method doubles the amount of kills for the same amount of effort. This doubles your chances of getting a Dark Grail alongside other valuable materials from late-game mobs. Plus, the Quake’s C-move radius is the only skill that reaches all 10 mobs.
