The Type Soul Library is located after the maze in Ring 3 of Hell. Accessing Hell means entering the skeleton-clad gate near the basketball court within Karakura town and having your second form unlocked. For a deeper dive into Hell, have a read of my Hell Layers guide.

Type Soul Library Puzzles
As mentioned, the Library is located after the Maze within Ring 3. The maze is also home to the Bamboo Hat Man, who bestows Vows upon the player, necessary for crafting and personal build prestige.
After finding your way out of the maze, the game will automatically teleport you into the Library. Before being allowed full entry, you’ll need to surpass the Library Gate by completing a variety of rhyme-based puzzles.
If you fail during either challenge, you’ll need to recomplete the Library puzzles from the beginning. Fortunately, this means you won’t return to layer one if you fail.
Library Book Answers
Around the Library, you’ll need to locate 5 books and complete their riddles. The answers are as follows:
- Book Title: One With the Blade
- Answer: The Blade is Me.
- Book Title: Story of the King
- Answer: I worship the King.
- Book Title: Power Unmatched
- Answer: My Power is Absolute.
- Book Title: Strength of the Soul
- Answer: My Soul Never Wavers.
- Book Title: Faith in Self
- Answer: I Believe in My Fist.
Library Book Order
After locating each book and completing its riddle, you’ll need to organise the books into order. After completing this, a message should trigger, notifying you that you have received the Library Gate item and are allowed to continue.
The Book Order is as follows:
- I Believe in My Fist
- My Power is Absolute
- I Worship the King
- The Blade is Me
- My Soul Never Wavers
What You Gain
For completing the Library challenges, you’re a step closer to obtaining your True Bankai variant, an evolution of the Soul Reapers route. As with other True variants, this prestige adorns the player with stronger and more combat-refined abilities.
