A new semester in the Netherworld is about to begin. The television anime adaptation of Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun is preparing to return with its fourth season. It will run for two cours and begin airing on April 4th.
The premiere is scheduled for 6:25 pm JST, with broadcasts set for NHK Educational TV every Saturday at the same time starting April 4th, 2026. The confirmation comes from the team through a tweet from their official X account.
For the fourth season, Makoto Moriwaki will serve as General Director, with Ayaka Tsujihashi directing. Series composition remains in the hands of Kazuyuki Fudeyasu. Yumiko Hara will oversee character designs, and Akimitsu Honma will once again oversee the music. Animation production continues under Bandai Namco Pictures.
Music will play a visible role in the upcoming episodes, both on and off-screen. The opening theme has been announced as Ichininosan, performed by Penthouse. Shintaro Namioka, vocalist and guitarist for the band, said that the track aims to reflect how the series blends a playful, comedic tone with moments that unexpectedly resonate on a heartfelt level.

The anime is based on the original manga by Osamu Nishi, which began serialisation in Weekly Shonen Champion in 2017. The series has reached 45 volumes in Japan to date, while Kodansha USA handles the English-language release.
On television, the adaptation first premiered in 2019, followed by a second season in 2021 and a third in 2022. The story centres on Suzuki Iruma, a 14-year-old human who is taken against his will into the world of demons and enrolled in a school there.
To complicate matters, the demon who purchases him becomes his self-proclaimed grandfather and also happens to chair the school. Forced to hide his human identity, Iruma navigates a campus filled with formidable personalities.
In the fourth series of the TV anime, Iruma and his classmates face a specific objective: all 13 members of the so-called problem child, or abnormal, class must achieve Rank 4. Learn more about it here.
