Following its debut in China in October last year, Fellow Moon has been released in Japan now. The Chinese name literally translates to New Moon Accompanying, which is how you might see it titled in some sites.
The game is a turn-based gacha RPG with 2D visuals. It’s set in an eerie, urban environment where ordinary city life hides extraordinary threats. With a bit of occult mystery, the game revolves around Super Bureau, an organisation in charge of sealing away strange entities that cause abnormal disasters.
The game lets you take on the role of a memory-lost captain of the Super Bureau. You must investigate strange happenings around the city. In the process, you uncover secrets buried within old castles, theatres, teahouses, and convenience stores.
Your party includes members of various factions like Longjing from Quanliantang, Otoki from the Candlelight Sect, and Spade from Hexianggi. These factions’ goals and ideologies shape the choices you make and the story paths you can follow.
Outside of combat, the story unfolds through a 2D side-scroller format. You can freely move the protagonist left and right, interacting with objects, characters, and environmental triggers.
