A new Assassination Classroom anime film is set to release soon! Titled Gekijoban Ansatsu Kyoshitsu: Minna no Jikan or Assassination Classroom the Movie: Everyone’s Time in English, it will premiere in Japanese theatres on March 20th, 2026.

It isn’t just a recap or re-release

The Assassination Classroom anime film is taking on manga material that was skipped during the original TV adaptation. Creator Yusei Matsui stated that it will serve as a continuation of the main story.

The release is also a part of the series’ 10th anniversary celebration. It marks the third and final project under the anniversary campaign called Assassination Classroom 10th Anniversary Time.

The director of the Assassination Classroom anime film is Masaki Kitamura, a veteran from Sunrise. The screenplay is handled by Makoto Uezu, the same writer who worked on the TV series. Character designs are by Aya Higami, while the main cast from the TV version will also reprise their roles.

Alongside the announcement, Assassination Classroom dropped a teaser visual. It features Nagisa and Karma walking down a familiar school hallway lined with past memories, while Korosensei watches them from behind with a grin.

They also released a teaser trailer that gives a glimpse of new scenes narrated by Korosensei himself. Watch it right here!

Assassination Classroom began as a manga serialised by Shueisha in Weekly Shonen Jump. It was published from July 2012 to March 2016, with a total of 21 collected volumes. VIZ Media publishes the English-language version.

The manga inspired a 22-episode TV anime in 2015 and a 25-episode second season in 2016, followed by a theatrical anime release in November 2016. The franchise also saw two live-action films, released in March 2015 and March 2016.

To coincide with the 2026 film release, the first season of the anime will be available for streaming on Jump Channel. It will be for a limited two-week period, and they will roll out the 22 episodes sequentially.
