The follow-up aka Season 2 of the anime will be titled Clevatess II -Majū no Ō to Itsuwari no Yūsha Denshō-. It literally translates to The King of Magical Beasts and the Legend of the False Hero.

The team also revealed a celebratory visual drawn by character designer Soichiro Sako. But they haven’t given any release date or broadcast window yet.

The first season was directed by Kiyotaka Taguchi, also known for his work on Ultraman Blazar and as kaiju designer for the SSSS.Dynazenon film. The season finale broadcast on September 17th, while the first episode premiered on July 2nd on AT-X.

It later rolled out across several stations including Tokyo MX, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, BS NTV, TV Fukushima, Nagano Broadcasting Systems, and more. Internationally, Crunchyroll confirmed it will stream the new season when it airs in Japan, just as it did with the first.

The story starts with Alicia, a young woman who dreamed of becoming a hero since childhood. When chosen by the king as one of 13 heroes, she sets out with her companions wielding legendary swords to defeat the lord of magical beasts, Clevatess.

But the heroes’ actions could end up bringing humanity to the edge of destruction. The last hope of the world rests on a baby entrusted to Clevatess. The first season showed Clevatess reviving a slain hero and taking in the orphaned child.
