Embers is a new anime-style top-down ARPG. Published under Hainan Kiif Network Technology, it’s out today in China on Android and iOS. A multiplayer game, it mixes hand-drawn visuals with intense combat.

The ARPG is set in a world consumed by a spreading darkness known as Embers

The world is the shattered land of Atalan. The game introduces players as Firebringers, individuals who wield the soul fire to push back against the corruption.

The Embers have turned wildlife into beasts, and at their worst, birthed colossal monsters born of high-density corruption. Yet, amid the decay, the light of the Great Lighthouse stands as humanity’s final hope.

As a Firebringer, you’ll fight for survival and preserve the last remnants of civilisation. You’ll be aided by the Angels of Ashes, fallen souls who continue to protect Atalan even after death.

In Embers, you view the action from above, in classic top-down ARPG fashion. During the battles, you face smaller mutated creatures or massive, screen-filling bosses. Every boss, from the ancient beasts of Qingyuan to the dragons of the Baho ice fields, features unique mechanics and backstories.

The game’s character system lets you customise through its Ember Angels, the heroes players collect and train. Each Angel has unique skills and combat potential, focussing on high burst damage, defense, or team support.
