The upcoming anime adaptation of nonco’s romantic comedy manga Kanan-sama wa Akumade Choroi has locked in its broadcast window for April 2026. Known in English as Mistress Kanan is Devilishly Easy, the team also dropped a new trailer, giving a first look at the anime.
A mischievous blend of supernatural charm and awkward romance.
Along with the trailer, the team also introduced more cast members and staff details behind the production. Studio KAI will handle animation for the series. Yasushi Muroya, who previously served as assistant director on AFTERLOST, is the director.
The series composition is by Rintaro Ikeda, known for his work on Insomniacs After School. Akari Minagawa from Shabake is designing the characters. The music will be composed by Shuhei Mutsuki, whose past credits include the exuberantly titled The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, REALLY Love You.
Meanwhile, the voice cast features Aoi Koga as Kanan Takakiyo, Seiichiro Yamashita as Yoji Kyogi, and Sayumi Suzushiro as Jeanne. They’re joined by Maki Kawase as Ami, Ayaka Nanase as Nadeko Masurao, Fuka Izumi as Milch Zebul, Hikaru Tono as Miel Zebul, and Yoshino Nanjo as Lilim Zebul.

If you haven’t read the manga, let me give you a brief introduction to the story. Kanan is a so-called Gourmet Devil who descends to a human high school with the intention of feasting on youthful souls.
Her first target is a cheerful boy named Yoji Kugi. But then things take an unexpected turn. Instead of devouring him, Kanan ends up forming a strange romantic contract that throws her carefully detached existence into disarray.
For a devil who has spent millennia without ever experiencing love, simple acts like walking home together or holding hands become new and baffling milestones. As you can see in the trailer, the anime captures the fast-paced humour perfectly. And there are moments of genuine sweetness between the demon and her human counterpart.
