The Dangers in My Heart: The Movie unveiled a new trailer and key visual. Its theatrical run begins in Japan on February 13th, 2026. TV Asahi and HIDIVE offered the first sneak peek of the movie at Anime Expo on July 4th, 2025.
Apart from Japan, the compilation film is also coming to theatres in the United States, Germany, Italy, France, Mexico, Chile, Peru, additional Central American territories, and several more regions. TV Asahi plans to outline ticket information and international release dates later.

The new video folds together familiar moments from the television series with some new scenes. We get a look ahead to the pair’s future, while a preview of the theme song Madder signals the return of Yorushika. Watch the trailer below.
The television series of the franchise aired its first season in April 2023 on TV Asahi’s NUMAnimation block. It later reached international viewers through HIDIVE and Netflix. A second season followed in January 2024, while an anime for the Twi-Yaba spinoff manga was released in December 2023 brought.
Hiroaki Akagi, who directed the first season at Shin-Ei Animation, is the chief director of The Dangers in My Heart: The Movie. He has previously worked on Teasing Master Takagi-san and A Couple of Cuckoos. Meanwhile, Dali Chen steps forward as director.
Much of the original team remains in place, including series composer Jukki Hanada, character designer Masato Katsumata, and music composer Kensuke Ushio.
What’s the story?
It’s about Kyotaro Ichikawa, a boy stuck at the lowest rung of his school’s social structure. He imagines himself as the protagonist of a psychological thriller. He plots harmless disruptions and nurses a quiet admiration for Anna Yamada.
