The Shōjo☆Kageki Revue Starlight franchise has announced a new anime. It’s a sequel now in production at Kinema Citrus, just in time for the 9th anniversary celebrations. Kinema Citrus previously handled the original Revue Starlight television anime series as well as its film adaptation.
The team revealed the new Revue Starlight anime at the ongoing Cardfight!! Vanguard 15th Anniversary: Bushiroad New Year Announcements 2026 event. The project was teased under the phrase Someday, ___ will reach someone.
The continuation is part of the Starlight Project, with the working title ‘That Will Reach Someone Someday’ (Itsuka Dareka ni Todoku). They haven’t revealed any release date yet. But you can catch a glimpse of the announcement in this video below.
Alongside the new Revue Starlight anime, the franchise is celebrating its 9th year of existence
The team is hosting a ninth anniversary exhibition in early summer 2026. It will trace nine years of Revue Starlight’s history across its various formats, including anime, stage plays, live performances, and games.
There will be unreleased materials from the planning stages of the project. You’ll also watch special interviews with staff and cast members and displays of costumes and props. To learn more about this event, head over to the official website.
Another live event is happening in Tokyo soon. The Shoujo☆Kageki Revue Starlight Seekfeld Music Academy Talk & Variety Event Aim for Platine! will take place on March 21st, 2026. It’s a variety-focused gathering that will feature singing and talk segments by the five members of Edel and the junior high school club.
The announced cast includes Hotaru Nomoto as Akira Yukishiro, Yuka Ozaki as Michiru Ohtori, Yume Takeuchi as Meifan Ryu, Hikaru Tono as Shiori Yumeoji, and Haruka Kudo as Yachiyo Tsuruhime. There’s also Kaen Matsuzawa as Mishiro Ohga, and Kokoro Hisaie as Minku Umibe.
