The footage opens with the line Hetero does not teach you how to live. It perfectly sets the tone for a game that puts its protagonist around two parallel aims: living freely and pursuing personal ambitions.

That idea plays out across a version of Hetero City where everyday urban life intersects with supernatural anomalies. We see players moving through a sandbox-like environment that allows for a wide range of activities.

We see encounters with law enforcement during free-roam segments, alongside lighter diversions such as running a cafe, fishing, and playing mahjong. Multiple vehicles drift through city streets, while later segments highlight character relationships, supernatural elements, and combat sequences.

The game balances narrative, open-world exploration, and lifestyle-style side activities. All of it led some viewers to describe it as an anime gacha urban fantasy GTA. Comparisons to Saints Row or Like A Dragon have also surfaced in early online discussions.

Skepticism is also part of the online reaction due to the development team’s past work. Hotta Studio’s involvement in Tower of Fantasy is a point of concern rather than reassurance. Overall, there are mixed reactions to Neverness to Everness.

Some people fear that it will see its EOS not much long after its launch. While others are optimistic about the game due to its presentation. Pre-registration for NTE is open across PC, PS5, Mac App Store, iOS, and Google Play Store.
