Dragon Quest Smash Grow Weapons Tier List

This tier list is up to date as of May 27th, 2026.

S-TIER

7Falcon Blade

  • Urfalcon Slash: Employs lightning-fast swordsmanship to deal up to 350% potency physical Wind Damage.
  • Falcon’s Favour (ULT): Conjure two wind-infused spheres for 10 seconds after using a Coup De Grace (Urfalcon Slash). Also increases movement speed and grants immunity to movement- and attack-speed debuffs.

Notes: 350% is the most amount of damage we have gotten out of a weapon so far, especially a physical weapon as opposed to a ranged weapon. The Ultimate is incredible, and there is a Blessing in-game that enhances the wind-infused spheres, creating an ironclad synergy. Plus, the movement and attack speed debuff immunity means all attacks are on target and dealt swiftly.

6Fire Blade

  • Inferno Slash: A flaming blade that deals 250% potency physical fire damage. Also grants freeze immunity for 15 seconds.
  • Infernal Impact (ULT): Launch two powerful fire projectiles when an enemy is defeated.

Notes: Deals less damage than the Falcon Blade, but the freeze immunity and duration are a solid backbone for the primary skill. The ULT, however, deals the highest possible damage output of any ULT on this tier; it’s also a clutch in PvE combat after defeating weaker mobs, to help whittle down and clear out bosses and tougher enemies.

5Shiverstick

  • Kacrack: Conjure a large block of ice that deals 225% potency magical ice damage and sometimes freezes enemies. Coup de Grace Upgrade: area of attack expands if you possess four great arrow-type Blessings.
  • Crackerjack (ULT): Taking a hit triggers a close-range icy counterattack that hits nearby enemies. (Subject to cooldown).

Notes: The Shiverstick already deals 25% more DMG than most other weapons. Plus, its magical Ice DMG freezes enemies, which is a better ailment than Flinch or Silence as it works on ALL enemies. This weapon is also not bound to a specific Blessing, though investing four arrow-types makes this the ideal weapon for scaling builds. The Ultimate is nothing insane, as it requires being attacked, but it is still decent.

A-TIER

4Crystal Claws

  • Flashing Talons: Transforms normal attacks into flashing talons for 10 seconds, which cause some enemies to flinch on the final hit.
  • Crystal Arrow (ULT): Launch a lightning-infused arrow that pierces enemies.

Notes: A solid weapon, but it relies too much on RNG. With only some enemies becoming flinched, the Crystal Claws aren’t easy to control. Its main gimmick comes from the piercing damage of the ULT, which ignores defence and strikes with absolution.

B-TIER

3Platinum Plumes

  • Fizzlerang: Five boomerangs that deal 45% potency physical Dark Damage and inflict spell lock.
  • Dark Sword of Damocles (ULT): The final normal attack drops a dark-infused sword on enemies if they’re affected by a status ailment.

Notes: Its main skill applies a silence mechanic, preventing enemies from casting spells and weakening their assault. At the same time, the ULT will routinely trigger due to the silence status ailment being active anytime Fizzlerang is used. This weapon has great synergy between its skill and ULT, but deals lacklustre damage overall, and is quite niche since most enemies do not utilise spells to fight.

C-TIER

2Sandstorm Spear

  • Hellstorm: Drag some enemies into a huge sandstorm that deals up to 200% potency physical Earth Damage.
  • Dust Devil (ULT): Adds Earth-infused attack when enemies are hit by a spike-type Blessing.

Notes: Locked into a specific element, with a bound ultimate for a specific blessing. The game doesn’t have many spike-type blessings either, so this weapon finds itself covering a very tiny niche not often favoured by RNG.

1Queens Whip

  • Shining Whip: A gleaming whip attack that deals 200% potency magical light damage. Also creates a ward for 10 seconds, which boosts Attack Speed.
  • Queen’s Discipline (ULT): Adds a light-infused attack when enemies are hit by a sword-type Blessing.

Notes: This weapon locks you into Sword-type Blessings, meaning you’re at the mercy of RNG. If you don’t perform any sword-type moves, the ultimate becomes powerless.

D-TIER

  • As expected, there are no D-Tier selections for this banner.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What does each tier mean?
    • S: The most versatile weapons that deal the most serious damage, and have the best synergy with skills, Ultimates, and Blessings. I highly recommend opting for any of these top-tier contenders.
    • A: Ideal secondary options if you’re not a fan of my top picks. They have some negligible drawbacks that don’t hinder performance much, if you’re willing to overlook them.
    • B: Middle-tier weapons that aren’t total duds, but aren’t worth rerolling for either.
    • C: These weapons rely on gimmicks or RNG chance too much to have a moment to shine. Their damage is unfortunately quite lacklustre as a result.
    • D: The unfortunate bottom tier, with completely unusable weapons that do not enhance your gameplay.
