Looks like it’s going to be the year of Digimon. After spending years with barely any major Digimon Story releases, things suddenly escalated fast. We already knew about Digimon Up earlier this year, there’s extra DLC coming for Time Stranger, and now Digimon Alysion has finally spilt more details on its release.
The mobile Digimon card game officially confirmed that it’s also releasing in 2026. So, now there are two different Digimon mobile games arriving in 2026. While Alysion is a trading card title like Pokémon Trading Card Game, Digimon Up is a turn-based gacha RPG.
What more do we know about Digimon Alysion?
The game was first revealed during the Digimon Con 2025 livestream event that took place March 19th-20th, 2025. At the time, Bandai Namco introduced it as a free-to-play mobile card game for Android and iOS based on the physical Digimon Card Game.
They also confirmed it would feature original characters and its own storyline. Later, the game got its first Closed Beta Test in 2025. Access was limited to 10,000 players, and Bandai used a lottery system to pick participants.
Then, during the Digimon Con stream in March 2026, they showed updated battle screens and improved Digivolution animations. They also held a livestream where they gave viewers a sneak peek at changes made since the beta build.
The game is basically the digital version of the physical Digimon Card Game, but with extra story content. You collect cards in-game and use them in battles, but Alysion is also introducing original card illustrations and entirely new Digimon designs.
There are also some extra reveals that came out recently. The developers confirmed the 13 Royal Knights will appear in the game, along with X-antibody Digimon. To learn more about the game, head over to the official website.
