Pawprint Studio has given a new release window for its upcoming creature-catching open-world RPG Aniimo. They are now targeting a Q3 2026 launch window. Alongside the announcement, they dropped a new gameplay trailer shown during Future Games Show. Plus, they also revealed more details about the next global closed beta test for Aniimo.

Scheduled for this summer, the Aniimo closed beta test will be available on PC as well as on mobile (iOS and Android). Registration is already open through the official website. So, if you’re interested, you can sign up for a chance to participate.
Now, the latest trailer highlights several additions and gameplay features that you can expect to see during the upcoming beta. You can see Aniimo’s open world, which allows Pathfinders to interact with the land of Idyll through the game’s signature Twining mechanic.
By twining with their Aniimo companions, players can battle, travel, and explore from the perspective of the creature they have merged with. Twining also lets players witness the daily interactions, routines, and behaviours that the creatures have developed among themselves.
The closed beta test will also introduce several new Aniimo creatures. They include Bubbeep, Popapus, Mophling, and Sausite. You’ll also be able to discover new Aniimo forms, including Budsquire, Thornblade, and more.
The Homeland area, which you can access through your RV moving base, will feature a broader range of customisation tools. And you’ll see additional Aniimo-themed decorations. Another major addition is a new water-themed area called the Island of Peace. The region will be accessible for the first time.
When Aniimo launches in Q3 2026, it will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PC through Steam, Epic Games Store, and Xbox, as well as on mobile platforms. You can already wishlist the game on Xbox, PlayStation 5, Steam, and Epic Games Store.
